EcoFriendly Policies
Here at Fredrick James, we feel strongly that it is our corporate responsibility to do our part to help heal and preserve our environment. We continue taking new steps to reduce our impact on the environment and operate our business in an ecologically sensitive manor.
Here are some of the methods we have initiated:
- Recycling: we recycle everything we possibly can from junk mail to soda cans;
- Paperless Accounting: we scan documents received from clients, complete returns and forms digitally, then encrypt our files to send to our clients. We also try to avoid printing entire tax returns, instead printing only the signature page, and submit electronically.
- For those clients who prefer to receive paper copies, a fee is assessed that is then applied to Plant A Tree USA who then plants a tree in their honor.
- Computer systems are shut down and lights turned off before the office is closed.
- Florescent lighting is used throughout our office.
- When possilbe, our staff members carpool, bike or walk to work.
